Swissvale Cares Food Bank
Swissvale Cares, Inc. manages the Swissvale Community Food Pantry (SCFP). They are an agency member of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB)
They distribute monthly allotments of food to needy Swissvale individuals and families. The food they distribute is provided to us by public and private funds.
They also utilize the 412 Food Rescue to supplement distributions. They are also the recipient of regular food drives by local boys & girl scout troops, girls scouts, church groups, and post office collection drives.
Their commitment is to provide volunteer staff to meet the needs of our community. They have done this and will continue to do this with regularly scheduled distributions as well as emergency distributions, as the need arises.
In the past, during distribution days they have partnered with other service organizations like the Mon Valley Initiative, YWCA, United Health Care, CCAC Boyce Campus, and others to provide much-needed information on programs and services available to their clients.

Food pantry distribution hours are 9 a.m. to noon, on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
Produce For The People distribution is the last Tuesday of each month from 10 am to 11:30 a.m., until the end of October. No registration is necessary.
